About Peter

Bio

Peter has been living a life of meditation and contemplation for twenty years. After seven years as a Thai Forest monk, he left the robes and was invited to teach by Stephen Archer; subsequently helping to found Original Nature Meditation Centre in Wellington, New Zealand. Peter offers meditation teaching and 1-1 sessions to anyone interested in living a life of contemplation, compassion and peace.

Peter is very interested in supporting people in practicing with physical illness and has written a book on this topic based on his own experiences. The book, Finding Freedom in Illness, was published by Shambhala in 2016.

He also offers a variety of online meditation courses, the latest of which can be found here

Peter has studied intensively with a number of teachers in both monastic and secular settings, from the Thai Forest tradition as well as the Insight Meditation Tradition, including Ajahn Sucitto, Ajahn Amaro, Ajahn Pasanno, Ajahn Munindo and Sharda Rogell.
